POSTGRADUATE DEGREE GRADE

Calculation of the Postgraduate Degree Grade

The grade of the degree takes into account the weighting of each course in the curriculum, expressed by the number of credits (ECTS). The number of ECTS credits assigned to a course is also its weighting coefficient. To calculate the final degree grade, the grade of each course is multiplied by the corresponding number of course credits, and the sum of these products is divided by the total number of credits required for the award. This calculation is expressed by the following mathematical formula:

where:

N = number of courses required for the award of the relevant degree

BMκ = grade of course k

ΠΜκ = credits of course k

TC = total credits required for the award of the relevant degree

To obtain the Postgraduate Studies Diploma, each postgraduate student must attend and successfully pass all compulsory courses and the required number of electives offered by the MSc Programme, and complete a Master’s thesis, thereby accumulating ninety (90) ECTS
